SplitRock Vineyard

“Splitrock Vineyard Estate” named after an ancient split rock that resides on the property, proudly unfolds over 40 acres of beauty and tranquility, watched over by majestic “Mt. Yengo” to the South.

These grapes are 100% estate grown and showcase the vineyard at its best. The grapes have been hand picked and the resulting wine is a fine example of a Premium hunter Valley Shiraz.

	Merlot 2007 Colour: Deep red core with a vibrant purple rim. Nose: This wine displays typical Merlot aromas of raspberry, violet and sage in abundance. Palate: Complex flavours of black olive, bramble and mint give way to a spicy fruitcake finish. Merlot: 12.9% ALC/VOL Approx: 7.6 Standard Drinks
	Shiraz 2007 Colour: Deep red core with a vibrant purple rim. Nose: Complex aromas of plum, chocolate and whitepepper. Palate: A well structured Shiraz with variental flavours of cherry and liquorice with a long aniseed finish. Merlot: 12.4% ALC/VOL Approx: 7.3 Standard Drinks
	Verdelho 2007 Colour: Vibrant light with tinges of pale green. Nose: A powerful nose of honeysuckle and passionfruit with hints of musk. Palate: A lively varietal pallet of citrus, passionfruit and guava. Verdelho: 14.3% ALC/VOL Approx: 8.5 Standard Drinks
	Semillon 2007 Colour: Vibrant light with tinges of pale green. Nose: Lifted fresh lemon and lime with elderflower and a touch of spice. Palate: This wine has a well-balanced, fresh crisp palate with lemon citrus zest and minerality. A wine to be enjoyed in its youth with cold entrees and fresh seafood dishes. Careful cellaring will be rewarded with the wine developing into a classic Hunter Semillon. Semillon: 10.7% ALC/VOL Approx: 6.3 Standard Drinks
	Semillon Chardonnay 2007 Colour: Vibrant light straw with tinges of pale green. Nose: Lifted fresh lemon and lime from the Semillon with added melon and peach complexity from the Chardonnay. Palate: This wine has a well-balanced palate with fresh citrus and honeyed fig and a lingering finish. A wine to be enjoyed in its youth either by itself or with fresh seafood dishes. 	Chardonnay 2007 Colour: Vibrant light with tinges of pale green. Nose: Fragrant white peach and melon. Palate: A well-balanced palate offering crispness of citrus fruit in the mid-palate and a rich finish of lingering honey and peach. Chardonnay: 13.0% ALC/VOL Approx: 7.7 Standard Drinks
