Splitrock Vineyard lies approximately 45 minutes from the heart of Broke between Windsor and Singleton at 6299 Putty Road and although we do not have a cellar door appointments can be made by phoning the Vineyard directly. This beautiful 40 acre property boasts 17 acres under vine that produces award winning wine which include semillon, chardonnay, verdelho, Shiraz and Merlot. New additions include a semillon chardonnay and a cabernet merlot.

Vine pruning and grape picking is all done by hand instead of the more economical machine harvesting. This helps to ensure that the wine production is maintained at the highest quality on an ongoing and reliable basis essential to a boutique winery. In addition our winemakers only use a minimum amount of sulphur which ensures that the consumer of the wine is less likely to experience typical problems like headaches, migraines etc.

The Lower Hunter climate and soils are ideal for growing premium wine grapes. Vines are cooled during the summer by breezes that flow through a gap in the coastal range, and average elevation of 180 metres makes for cooler summer nights. Soils are very well drained and are predominately decomposed granite. All our vineyards are drip irrigated to make up for normal deficiencies in rainfall.

Our Fundraising

Our very own Peter BRUECKNER hands over a cheque for $108,000 for the Streetworx charity www.streetworx.org.au together with John Senden. John Daly and Michael Campbell are standing behind Peter.

This major fund raising event was held at Moore Park GC during December 2010 with a black tie gala dinner event at The Westin and the "Australia vs. NZ Golf Skins Challenge" at Moore Park GC. Splitrock Vineyard Estate is proud to have been the major sponsor of this wonderful event.
